Established Neighborhoods
Lakewood is a charming community of stately, large homes and quaint cottages on winding, tree-lined streets. Located just east of White Rock Lake and minutes from downtown, Lakewood is popular among downtown professionals and those who work near Baylor Medical Center. There is a strong sense of community here, enhanced by the Lakewood Service League, a civic and social organization that supports area charitable organizations and parks; the Dallas Northeast Chamber of Commerce, the Dallas Arboretum, the Lakewood Country Club, the Lakewood Shopping Center, and the old Lakewood Theater.
White Rock Lake Neighborhood
The White Rock Neighborhood of Dallas is a mix of old and new. The areas east of White Rock Lake include many moderately priced homes along shady streets dating from the 1950's and 60's, many of which have been tastefully remodeled. The new built homes reflect a variety of architectural styles.
Dallas Historic Neighborhoods/East Dallas Neighborhoods
Tree-lined streets and historic homes characterize East Dallas, just a few minutes from downtown Dallas and Baylor Medical Center. The Swiss Avenue and Munger Place historic districts date from the early 1900's and include beautifully restored homes/mansions in a variety of architectural styles. These neighborhoods fall between Deep Ellum and Lower Greenville Avenue, popular centers for top notch dining and entertainment. Just up Greenville Avenue are the popular "M" Street neighborhoods filled with two and three bedroom Tudors.
Hollywood Heights/Santa Monica/Forest Hills Neighborhoods
Large brick and stone homes on deep, tree lined lots characterize Forest Hills. Hollywood Heights/Santa Monica features smaller brick Tudors and wood frame cottages, many of which have been tastefully restored. These established neighborhoods are close to hike and bike trails of White Rock Lake, Tennison Memorial Golf Course and Lakewood Country Club.
Casa Linda/Casa View/Lake Park Estates Neighborhoods
Proximity to White Rock Lake's hike and bike trails and easy access to downtown Dallas, make the older, established neighborhoods of Casa Linda, Casa View, and Lake Park Estates particularly appealing. These neighborhoods feature brick and wood frame single-family homes along winding, tree- lined streets.
Belmont Addition
Located in Old East Dallas and is known for its mature trees, raised lots and a variety of architectural styles, such as Craftsman bungalows, Prairie Style and many revival styles, including new builds. This is an appealing neighborhood.
Bluffview Estates
Bluffview Estates offers scenic views and good size lots. Noted architect Charles Dilbeck designed several homes in this area. It is located just 20 minutes north of downtown in North Dallas.
